First Aid at Work Requalification -Level 3 Ofqual Regulated
First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) – 2-Day Course

The First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) course is a 2-day training programme designed for existing first aiders who need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate for another three years.
Learners attending this course will have previously completed either the 2-day or 3-day First Aid at Work course. The FAWR course refreshes and updates essential first aid knowledge and practical skills required in higher-risk workplaces, such as those in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
Training is delivered in a big seminar room on small groups for your safety. Cost £220.00+ VAT. Our location is 5 minutes walk from Caerphilly train station and our smart modern training facilities including tea and coffee breaks for our students.
Important: If a learner’s certificate has expired, they must successfully complete this requalification course before they can continue to act as a designated first aider in the workplace.
Training is delivered in small groups within a spacious seminar room to ensure a comfortable and safe learning environment.
The course fee is £220+ VAT.
Our modern training centre is located just a 5-minute walk from Caerphilly train station and offers excellent facilities, including complimentary tea and coffee breaks.
Please note that, due to allergy considerations, lunch is not provided. We recommend that participants bring their own lunch.
Primary Care Skills
We will teach you how to deal with life threatening conditions learning these skills: Scene Safety Assessment, Primary Assessment, Barrier Use, CPR Rescue Breathing, CPR Chest compression’s, AED use, Choking, Dealing with Serious Bleeding, Spinal Injuries and Shock Management.

AED training
The use of an AED device is now compulsory within the recommendation of HSE FAW first aid. CPR alone is unlikely to restart the heart of a sudden cardiac arrest victim. An AED can deliver a shock automatically to the heart when an abnormal heart rhythm is detected. Using the latest AED trainers with both visual and audio cues the student will simulate this emergency and learn how to confidently deal with a sudden cardiac arrest.
HSE recommendations
In addition, as part of the FAW (HSE recommended) syllabus we teach the responsibilities of the appointed person such as assessment of needs in the workplace, First Aid Kits, Record Keeping (accident book) and duties of the first aider.
Secondary CARE skills
The Secondary care section of our training course deals with first aid skills such as injury assessment, illness assessment, bandaging and splinting.
The skills you learn throughout the day will be assessed for competency leading to certification at the end of the course.
